In her final regular season game for the Dinos, captain Tanya Morgan was on fire. When Calgary hosted Mount Royal on Feb. 8, Morgan was also celebrating her Senior Night. It was a night to remember as she went on to score three goals, including the opening goal of the game. Not only did she record the hat-trick, she was a part of the three other goals scored that night as she picked up three assists. Her six-point night led the Dinos to their 22nd win of the season.
The following night, the captain added an assist to her tally for the weekend, bringing her total to seven points in two games, including a game hosted by the Calgary Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Her outstanding weekend also sky rocketed her to tied for seventh on the scoring list in Canada West with 26 points. She is one of five Dinos in the top ten.
The Dinos will sit out this weekend with a bye as they await their opponent in the Canada West women’s hockey semifinals to be played Feb. 22-24.
