Rookie goalkeeper Kristen Barton held her team in the tight Canada West playoff race with a pair of one-goal-against games as the Dinos hosted Manitoba and Regina this weekend.

In Saturday’s match-up with Manitoba, the Kinesiology student made nine saves and allowed just one goal as the Dinos earned a 1-1 draw with the Bisons. She made four stops in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Regina.

The Dinos (4-5-3) currently hold down the last of the six playoff spots available in Canada West and can return to the post-season after a one-year absence with road wins over Saskatchewan (3-8-1) and Alberta (5-4-3) this weekend.
