Dowell joined the Dinos women’s basketball program in 2017 to work specifically with shooting and finishing skill development. Since his arrival his role has expanded to include recruitment, and serving as an assistant coach at games or team practices when he is in town. Due to his full-time role as a counselor in Surrey, BC, Dowell makes 4-6 trips over the Rocky Mountains for 7-10 day visits to the Dinos camp training sessions. His heavy use of technology means he is able to communicate remotely as a skills coach to the Dinos players and coaches.
Dowell also operates a business internationally called SB Global Hoops, which offers shooting skill development support to individuals or teams from around the world.
