Dan Pearson

Dan Pearson joined the Dinos men's basketball team ahead of the 2016-17 season. Prior to coming to the University of Calgary, Dan spent three years as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Carroll College in Helena, Montana, where he helped rebuild the Saints to a perennial national powerhouse, finishing in the Top 10 nationally in the last three years.

Pearson, a Billings, Montana native, started for the Fighting Saints while receiving his degree in English Broadfield: Secondary Education from Carroll. After his playing days, Dan spent two years coaching at Helena Capital High School, helping lead the Bruins to a 2nd place finish in Montana and an eventual State Championship, prior to joining Dr. Carson Cunningham’s staff at Carroll. While coaching at Carroll, Dan went on to receive his Master’s in Organizational Leadership: Servant Leadership from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.

Dan has worked extensively in the camps and AAU system both in the Northwest and internationally, spending 10 summers throughout North America and Europe with NBC Camps and is the co-founder of Elite League Basketball Camps in Montana.
