CALGARY – Both University of Calgary Dinos basketball teams will be in action at home this weekend as the Dinos host the 2026 Calgary Cup, with 11 games over three days at the Jack Simpson Gym starting Friday.

The Dinos men's and women's teams will each get a preseason test against teams from across the country, with Acadia, Windsor, Ottawa, Lethbridge and UBCO also in the field.

The reigning Canada West champion Dinos women's team tips off the weekend against UBCO Friday at 6 p.m. They face Acadia Saturday at 5 p.m. and close the tournament against Windsor Sunday at noon.

The men's team, which hosted the U SPORTS Final 8 at the Jack Simpson Gym last March, also opens against UBCO Friday at 8 p.m. It wraps up its weekend against Ottawa Saturday at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available for each day of the tournament (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), or fans can catch all 11 games with a weekend pass.
