CALGARY – The University of Calgary Dinos football team are on the road for the first time this season, travelling to Saskatoon to take on the University of Saskatchewan Huskies (0-1) as the Huskies host their homecoming game. Friday's kickoff from Griffiths Stadium is set for 7 p.m. MT, with the game streamed live on Canada West TV.

- Saskatchewan has won 8 of the last 10 meetings between the two programs, with the last Calgary victory coming in October of 2023, where the Dinos edged out a 13-12 victory.
- Despite this, Calgary still boasts a winning record against Saskatchewan, with 63 wins, 46 defeats and 1 tie.
- Saskatchewan enters the game as the reigning Hardy Cup champions, but the Huskies come in off the back of a 40-22 upset at Manitoba that dropped them from No. 3 to No. 8 in this week's U SPORTS rankings.

- Quarterback David Jordan threw three touchdown passes last time out against UBC, the most since his first game as a starter back in August 2025 against Regina.
- Receiver Matt Sibley was named Canada West BioSteel Offensive Player of the Week after recording seven catches for 106 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown that put Calgary up 14-0 in the first quarter.
- The Dinos were proficient in turning chances into points during their opener, converting all four of their red zone chances into touchdowns.
- Calgary's defence also played a huge part in last week's win, forcing two turnovers – including a fourth quarter interception by Thomas Glanville, a career first for the defensive back.

- Despite the loss to Manitoba, the Huskies put up 490 yards of total offence – the most by any Canada West team in Week 1 and the fifth-most nationally through two weeks.
- Head coach Scott Flory's teams have bounced back well from losses, going 12-3 with an average margin of victory of 17 points immediately following a defeat since 2018.
- Quarterback Anton Amundrud has a history of big performances at Griffiths Stadium – he threw for 391 yards and four touchdowns in his first career homecoming start in 2023 and 413 yards and four more scores against UBC last season. He needs just 10 completions Friday to reach 500 for his career.
- The Huskies hit the road once again in their next game, as they face-off against Alberta in Edmonton on Friday, Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m. MT.
