Kunstmann caps career with All-Canadian honours

BRANDON, Man. –  Louis Kunstmann of the University of Calgary Dinos men's volleyball team has been named a Second Team All-Canadian, announced Thursday at the annual U SPORTS banquet on the eve of the national championship tournament.

Kunstmann recently closed out his outstanding U SPORTS career after four memorable seasons on the court with the Scarlet & Gold.

The 6-foot-9 outside hitter from Neuenhain, Germany was the clear leader for the Dinos attack this season. The fourth-year outside hitter finished the regular season ranked third in Canada West in kills (271), fourth in total blocks (71), seventh in kills per set (3.43) and 10th in solo blocks (10). This marks the second time the 6-foot-9 middle has been honoured with a postseason award, also being named to the all-rookie team back during the 2021-22 season.

In all, Kunstmann closes out his Dinos career with 1018 total kills and a .297 career hitting percentage. A Canada West All-Rookie selection back in 2022, he has been a force at the net since day one and graduates with 321.0 total blocks - 61 of which were solo. Kunstmann also tallied 362 digs and 73 aces in his 98 matches played as a Dino.
