CALGARY – April Klarenbach of the Calgary Dinos has been named to the Canada West Women's Hockey All-Rookie team, the conference office announced Tuesday.

The 5-foot-5 forward from nearby Cochrane, Alta., finished her first collegiate season on the ice playing in 27 of Calgary's 28 games - missing only the season opener. 

Klarenbach tallied seven points in her rookie season on three goals and four assists. That point total ranked her second in all of Canada West among rookies this season.

This marks the third straight season the Dinos have had at least one representative on the league's all-rookie squad.
