CALGARY – Colson Gengenbach of the Calgary Dinos has been named the Canada West Men's Hockey BioSteel Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

This marks the second time this season Gengenbach has been recognized as the top athlete of the week by Canada West.

It was a big final weekend on home ice for the Dinos, with their leading goal scorer providing a big spark in a sweep of UBC. Gengenbach started the weekend by scoring a pair in a 4-0 blanking of the defending champs before helping on a pair of goals in Saturday's 4-2 win to complete the sweep on Senior Night.

Gengenbach finishes the regular season leading the Dinos in goals (14) and points (27).

The Dinos now turn their attention to postseason play, where they open with a CW Quarterfinal showdown with provincial rivals Alberta. The Dinos and Golden Bears will start their best-of-three series Friday in Edmonton.
