18 Seniors close out 15's Dinos career at University National Championship

The University of Calgary Dinos Men's Rugby team finished the fall season with another successful season as they closed out the season with their second trip to the national championships. The Dinos were the 2022 Prairie League Champions for the second year in a row as they defeated the UBC-Okanagan Heat by a score of 24-12 in the league final, played on the Dinos home field.
Canadian University Rugby Championships were hosted by the University of British Columbia, who came into the championship as the defending national champions and number one seed.  Seeding for the national championships was not on the Dinos side as their first game was scheduled against the host Thunderbirds and defending national champions. The Dinos were game, but the Birds were too strong on the day and emerged with a 53 - 0 victory.
Dinos would finish the championships with a victory over Laurier University 20 - 12 to finish in seventh place.
The Dinos 15's program will graduate 18 fifth year players this year as the team will look to the 7's winter season to prepare for 2023.
