Dinos baseball dropped the first game of a double header on Wednesday May 11, losing by a score of 6 - 0 to the VIU Mariners. Dinos starting pitcher Liam McAusland, 2nd year - Kinesiology, took the loss evening his season record to 1 - 1.
Offensively the Dinos struggled to produce runs as the team could only string together 5 hits over nine innings. Catcher Eric Wirun, 2nd year - Marketing, continued his recent torrid hitting streak going 2 for 4 as he raised his batting average to .462 
Dinos look to even up the four game series with the Mariners with a win in the second game of the afternoon. Following the afternoon game the Dinos immediately fly back to Calgary where they will welcome the PBA Dawgs for a Friday two game set.
