CALGARY – Coming off two tightly contested matches at home to open the season, the University of Calgary Dinos will be searching for their first win of the year during a pair of games against the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns.

Lethbridge will host the first game of the weekend on Saturday, Oct. 2, before action returns to Calgary on Sunday, Oct. 3, at Dinosaur Field. Both games begin at 2:15 p.m.

STATEMENT START
In front of a full-capacity crowd at Dinosaur Field last weekend, the Dinos showed they can compete with the class of Canada West. The Mount Royal Cougars were one of the top teams in the conference the last time teams played in 2019. The Cougars, who were ranked second in the preseason coaches poll, picked up leads of 1-0 and 2-1 last Friday, but the Dinos came back both times and ended the weekend with two draws.

SET PERFECTIONS
Both of the goals scored by the Dinos last weekend came off corner kicks with assists going to newcomer James Greco-Taylor. Adam Huskic netted the team's first goal of the season and was followed by Derek Brust in the season opener. Calgary's offence produced seven corner kicks last weekend, compared to three by Mount Royal across the two-game set.

LETHAL IN LETHBRIDGE
The Dinos won both their meetings with the Pronghorns during the 2019 season. After winning 2-0 at home on Aug. 31, 2019, the team travelled to Lethbridge later in the campaign and recorded a 3-1 decision on Oct. 6. That away match was one of the top performances of the year for third-year forward Derek Brust, who registered two goals and an assist in the win. The Dinos have won six straight matches against the 'Horns, with their last loss coming on Oct. 20, 2016.
