After immigrating to Canada from Nigeria at age 10, Temitope Ogunjimi used sport as a way to find community - starting with wrestling.

She went on to become one of the most decorated student-athletes in University of Calgary Dinos history, and female athlete of the year in 2018. A multi-sport athlete,  she added rugby to her arsenal and is currently with the national women's rugby sevens program based in Victoria, B.C.

She is a trailblazer, but she faced racism in sport - an experience she spoke about during Alumni Month last fall - see below.
