CALGARY – Hockey returns to Father David Bauer Arena this weekend when the University of Calgary Dinos host the University of Alberta Golden Bears on Friday before welcoming the MacEwan University Griffins Saturday.
Puck drop will be on Friday at 7 p.m. at Father David Bauer Arena and Saturday at 6 p.m.
WEEKEND CONSISTENCY
The Dinos found the consistency they were looking for in their road sweep of MacEwan last weekend, defeating the Griffins 4-0 on Friday and 3-2 on Saturday. This was the Dinos first time posting back-to-back wins this season.
SHUTOUT VICTORY
Brodan Salmond recorded his first shutout of the year this past weekend when he turned away 34 shots for a shutout victory over the Griffins.
POWER PLAY PROWESS
After Calgary head coach
Mark Howell mentioned the importance of power plays, his team took that to heart as both
Riley Stotts and
Kaden Elder found the back of the net on power plays in the team's 3-1 win on Saturday, securing the weekend sweep.
