CALGARY – Well into its third decade, the Dino Cup volleyball tournament will feature eight of the top teams in Canada in preseason action as the Dinos men's and women's teams get set for a busy three days in the Jack Simpson Gym.

Action gets underway Thursday night with the two local sides in competition, with the Dinos women facing rival Trinity Western while the Calgary men will square off against UBC Okanagan. The tournament continues with five more matches Friday and concludes with five Saturday (full schedule below).

For the Dinos women, it's a chance to see some of their top rivals, as well as some eastern flavor as the Western Mustangs make the trip to Calgary for the tournament. It's the first home action on the road to home court in March, when the Dinos will play host to the 2020 U SPORTS Women's Volleyball Championship on the very same floor.

Joining the Dinos, Mustangs, and Spartans on the women's side are the Alberta Pandas. In the men's tournament, the Dinos and UBC Okanagan Heat will face the Alberta Golden Bears and the Mount Royal Cougars.
