The Dinos tennis team hosted the 2019 Prairie Regional Championships at the Alberta Tennis Centre with players representing the University of Alberta and University of British Columbia Okanagan in town to take on the Dinos. The quality of tennis shown by all teams was high, but the University of Alberta came out on top as the Alberta women's team defeated the Dinos by a team score of 5 - 2. Alberta took both doubles matches and three of five in singles play.
Kelsea Gorzo and
Maya Dukaric were victorious in their singles matches for the Dinos, however all matches were close and competitive.
Alberta won the men's team competition with victories over UBCO and the Dinos Men by an overall team score of 5 - 2.
Ayush Gupta and
Shane Nicholls were winners in their doubles competition while
Andrew Ochotta and
Shane Nicholls were winners in their singles matches.
Dino men came out on top over UBCO with an overall team score of 7 - 0.
Overall the 2019 Prairie Regional Championships was a successful event, in large part to team managers Patrick Thomas and Christine Lilley and the Dinos tennis team.
