REGINA – The University of Regina women's volleyball team fell in three sets to the Calgary Dinos at the Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport on Saturday night.
The Cougars were defeated 25-19, 25-23, and 25-10 as the Dinos earn a weekend sweep on the road. Calgary's record improves to 2-8 on the season, while Regina falls to 1-9.
Calgary was led by
Adriel Goodman,
Autumn Davidson and
Beth Vinnell with 14, 12 and 11 kills respectively. Davidson also led the Dinos at the net with six blocks, while
Lexi Peart had 35 assists to go along with three aces and libero
Kennedy Snape finished with 11 digs.
On Regina's side of the net, Diana Lumbala and Jessica Lerminiaux both had a team-leading eight kills while Sierra Parris-Kruger had a match-high 15 digs.
Regina will be on the road next weekend as the Cougars head to Winnipeg to take on the University of Winnipeg Wesmen. The Dinos will be at home as the top-ranked Trinity Western Spartans will pay a visit to Calgary for a pair of matches.
