Dinos back home to face Wesmen

CALGARY – The University of Calgary Dinos women's volleyball team returns home this weekend for a pair of games against the Winnipeg Wesmen. The first game begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, followed by a 4 p.m. game on Saturday at the Jack Simpson Gym.

RECAP
The Dinos stand in second place in Canada West with a 12-2 record, after defeating the UBC Okanagan Heat last week. Calgary has maintained its No. 2 national ranking with five weeks left in the regular season.

SHEVKENEK PLACES 2ND ON CW RECORD BOOK
Leah Shevkenek keeps on climbing Canada West's record book. Since beginning her career in Regina, she has recorded 3,496 conference assists – placing second just behind Manitoba's Brittany Habing. This season, Shevkenek has picked up 423 assists, the sixth-best total in the league.

UPCOMING
The Dinos and the Wesmen will battle it out for the first time this season. Look out for Dinos female athlete of the week Beth Vinnell, who picked up 26 kills in the sweep of UBCO to bring her total up to 127 on the season. Winnipeg's Emma Parker has gathered 165 kills and currently holds the eighth spot on the conference leaderboard.
