CALGARY – After defeating the previously unbeaten University of Winnipeg Wesmen last weekend on the road, the Calgary Dinos men's volleyball team is starting to get some national recognition.
So far this season, the Dinos have spent most of the year ranked No. 9 in the U SPORTS Top 10. That changed this week after Calgary recorded a 3-1 victory over the Wesmen, who entered last weekend with a 6-0 record.
The Dinos went on to split the weekend set in Winnipeg, but that was enough to catch the attention of peers across the country who ranked Calgary at No. 4.
Calgary will look to improve on their 5-3 record this weekend as they host the Saskatchewan Huskies for a pair of games, Nov. 17-18 at the Jack Simpson Gym. The Huskies remain in search of their first win of the season.
