BRANDON – The Brandon Bobcats jumped to an early first quarter lead, but the Calgary Dinos battled back, picking up a 88-63 win Friday night in Brandon.
The Bobcats took a 19-18 lead in to the second quarter, but the Dinos started the second frame on a 8-2 run and didn't look back from there.
Six Dinos finished in double-digit scoring, led by third-year guard Jared Ogungbemi-Jackson's game-high 18 points. Matt Letkeman (12 points, 11 rebounds) and Thijin Moses (11 points, 11 rebounds) both finished with double-doubles, while Josh Owen-Thomas, Jasdeep Gill, and Youri Annisovets each put up 11 points.
The Bobcats were led by Ilarion Bonhomme, who had a team-high 14 points, while Turell Scott finished with 12 points and Kenonte Ramsey chipped in 11 points.
The win improves Calgary's record to 12-7, while Brandon falls to 4-15. The two teams will play a rematch Saturday evening at Brandon University's Healthy Living Centre. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
