BOX SCORE BRANDON, Man. - In a match that was far closer than the set score would indicate, the Calgary Dinos dropped a straight-sets decidion to the Brandon Bobcats Friday night - with each set decided by the minimum two points (25-23, 26-24, 26-24) at BU's Healthy Living Centre.
The Bobcats were led by second-year left side Sam Tuivai who finished with 15 kills. First-year Roy Ching picked up 10 kills to go along with three service aces.
The Dinos got offensive contributions from
Greg Mann (13 kills) and
Connor Frehlich (10 kills).
Ivan Kartev finished with seven kills on 13 attempts (.462 hitting percentage).
The two teams will meet again Saturday night in Brandon. First serve is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. MT, live on CanadaWest.tv.
