Dinos fall behind the 'Pack

| By:
KAMLOOPS, B.C. - The playoff hopes for a young and banged up University of Calgary men's basketball team got a little dimmer Friday night as the Dinos fell 80-67 to the Thompson Rivers WolfPack at the Tournament Capital Centre.

BOX SCORE

The victory, TRU's first ever over the Dinos, also set a milestone for the WolfPack squad: its fourth win of the season, their best total since joining CIS.

TRU led 19-16 after the first quarter and were up 33-29 at the break. Chas Kok scored a three from the top of the key with 1:18 left to give the 'Pack a 76-64 lead and salt the game away. Kok wound up with a team-high 18 points and added eight rebounds for TRU.

Kevin Pribilsky had 17 points. Greg Stewart wound up with 15 points and 16 rebounds, while Connor Agnew had 10 points.

Calgary was led by Tyler Fidler with yet another double-double, recording 22 points and 11 rebounds. Andrew McGuinness was the only other Dino in double figures. He had 15 points.

The Dinos face a virtual must-win situation in the rematch Saturday night if they are to keep pace with the UFV Cascades for the eighth and final playoff spot. Tip-off goes at 8 p.m. MT.
