SASKATOON - Making quick work of the University of Saskatchewan Huskies, the visiting University of Calgary Dinos earned a 3-0: 25-18, 25-12, 25-21 win Friday night at the PAC in Saskatoon.

With the victory the reigning CIS champion and No. 5 ranked Dinos remain perfect with a 3-0 record. The Huskies drop to 0-3 on the season.
Graham Vigrass and
Allen Meek each finished the match with 10 kills apiece.
Chris Hoa had a match-high eight digs. Matthew Busse led the Huskies with 13 kills. Middle blocker Ben Bourgeois finished the night with two stuff blocks.
Jumping out to early leads in all three sets, the Dinos were able to keep control of the play and tempo of the match.
Down 4-1 early in the first set, the Huskies were able to get back in the game and even take the lead at 15-13. Saskatchewan was the first to 16 points but strong
Curtis James serving led the Dinos to seven straight points to regain the lead. Meek finished off the set at 25-18 after sending an attack over the net that froze the Huskies backline.
Calgary jumped out to a 6-2 and never looked back in the second set. Although the Huskies were able to crawl within one point at 7-6, it was as close as they would come.
David Egan finished off the set with five straight serves and Vigrass tipped the ball over the net for the 25-12 win.
The Huskies stayed tighter to the Dinos in the final set. It seemed just as the Huskies were gaining momentum, Calgary would answer with a strong attack. Down 20-16, Saskatchewan gained two points and Calgary answered back with one. This happened twice. Eventually,
Jay Blankenau tipped the ball over the net for the 25-21 win.
The two teams will meet again Saturday night at the PAC. Match time is 7 p.m. MT.
