LETHBRIDGE, Alta. – Despite giving up a 16-point lead in the fourth quarter, the No. 4 University of Calgary Dinos managed to get it done in overtime to take an 88-86 decision over the Lethbridge Pronghorns Saturday night at the 1st Choice Savings Centre.

With the loss the Horns drop to 5-6, while the Prairie Division-leading Dinos improve to 9-2.
Down 16 points heading into the final frame, the Horns exploded for 27 fourth quarter points to force overtime but
Ross Bekkering nailed two free throws with 3.1 seconds left in overtime and lifted the visitors to the hard fought victory.
In his first game against his former team, guard Jeff Price lead the Horns with 27 points while adding seven rebounds and five assists. Danhue Lawrence also chipped in with 14 points.
Robbie Sihota led all scorers with 30 points and completed the double-double with 11 boards. Despite a cold shooting night from the field, Bekkering hit for 20 points, heading to the line 17 times and hitting 12 free throws.
After a relatively low scoring first half that had both teams go on significant runs, the Horns built an early double digit lead only to see the Dinos close back to a single point at the end of the first. The Dinos held a 35-27 at the break, the exploded for 31 third quarter points to take control of the game, building a lead of as many as 18 points.
Just as it looked like the Dinos had put the Horns away, a 18-7 run to start the quarter brought the Horns back into the game with five minutes remaining. A Jeff Price jumper with over two minutes remaining gave the Horns their first lead since the early in the second quarter.
With the Horns up three,
Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson hit a three to tie the score with plenty of time left on the clock, but both teams missed in their final looks, setting up Bekkering's heroics in overtime.
The Horns head out on the road next week, traveling to Brandon to take on the Bobcats Saturday and Sunday afternoon, while the Dinos host the University of Alberta in a key Prairie Division battle next Friday and Saturday.
