REGINA – The
No. 4-ranked Calgary Dinos won in straight sets over the Regina Cougars on Saturday night in Canada West men's volleyball action at the Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport.
The Dinos won by scores of 25-18 and 25-17 in the first two sets and clinched the match with a 25-18 win in the third.

Calgary, which hit .377 in the win, was led by
Omar Langford's eight kills.
Oleg Podporin had six kills and a .556 hitting percentage, while
Curtis James had six kills and hit .500 despite playing in only the final two sets.
Don MacNeill and
David Egan both had seven kills and hit over .400, and
Jay Blankenau had 25 assists.
Colin Finch led Regina in kills for the second straight night, tying Langford for the match high with eight. Derek Delavau had 26 assists for the Cougars, while Finch and Mathew Brooks both had five digs. Finch and Drew Smith led Regina at the net, as both players recorded four total blocks.
The Cougars, who fall to 0-14 with the loss, will finish off their 2009-10 season with four road matches – two against Winnipeg next weekend and two against Brandon on Feb. 12 and 13.
The win improves Calgary's record to 11-3 on the season as the Dinos continue to battle for first place in the Canada West standings. The Dinos will finish off their regular season with two matches each against Brandon and Winnipeg, hosting the Bobcats Feb. 5-6 in the Jack Simpson Gym to close out their regular season home schedule.
