The Calgary Dinos men’s soccer team is quickly proving it’s a force to be reckoned with in Canada West this season, and fifth-year goalkeeper J.P. Crescenzi is right in the thick of things.

Crescenzi recorded two more shutouts over the weekend, bringing his Canada West-leading season total to five – four of which have been consecutive. The fifth-year ‘keeper has not allowed a goal in 405 minutes of play, leading the Dinos’ stingy defence that has allowed just six goals in eight games at the midway point of the 2010 season.

Both shutouts last week came over the Lethbridge Pronghorns as the Dinos swept the home-and-home series with 1-0 and 2-0 victories. The Dinos sit with a 5-1-2 record, good for second place in the conference standings.

Calgary enjoys the bye this week before returning to action Oct. 15-16 with a tough Pacific road swing through Trinity Western and UBC.
