Fifth-year kicker Aaron Ifield moved into top spot on the University of Calgary’s all-time scoring list in Saturday’s 23-14 win over Alberta at Foote Field.

With his 31-yard field goal early in the second quarter, Ifield passed Bruce Parsons’ (1991-94) school record of 274 points. He added two more field goals on the day from 23 and 25 yards, the latter of which iced the victory for the Dinos late in the fourth quarter.

Ifield improved his school record to 59 field goals, good for third all-time on the Canada West career list, while his scoring total of 281 points puts him in fourth place on the conference leaderboard.

The fifth-year Arts student also won the punting battle against Alberta’s Hugh O’Neill Saturday, averaging 36.7 yards on a day where wind was a significant factor.
