Third-year defensive back Tye Noble was having an impressive outing for the first 54 minutes of Saturday’s Canada West football contest at Alberta, but he’ll be remembered for the game-winning score with just six minutes left.

Noble had posted most of his 7.5 tackles on the afternoon – seven of which were solos, with the shared tackle also a sack of Alberta quarterback Julian Marchand – when the Calgary defence took the field after the Dinos had marched down the field to bring the score within two points. On the first offensive play by the No. 7 Golden Bears, a Marchand pass deflected off the outstretched hand of a receiver and into the waiting arms of the Winnipeg-born Noble, who had clear daylight 45 yards into the end zone to put Calgary up for good.

Noble currently sits third in the conference with 19.5 tackles. The No. 4-ranked Dinos (2-1) take their roadshow east this weekend to face the 1-2 Manitoba Bisons Saturday afternoon in Winnipeg.
