Alex Cole shone the brightest for the Dinos on Friday, banking 23 points and 10 rebounds. With the double-double, Cole was the most consistent performer for Calgary, with only one other Dino finding double digits in points. One night later Cole continued her dominant performance collecting 17 points and six rebounds to help her team to a 115-84 win against Thompson Rivers.
It marked the first time since Feb. 10, 1990 that the Dinos women’s basketball team has put up 115 points in a game, where the Dinosaurs destroyed the Saskatchewan Huskies by a score of 118-34. That victory was the 60th in a row for Calgary during a record 69-game winning streak for the women’s squad.
The Dinos improve to 5-1 with the victory, and remain tied for first place with the Alberta Pandas in the Prairie division as the weekend comes to a close.
