Fourth-year forward Ashley Hill moved into the conference scoring lead this weekend as the highest-scoring player on the highest-scoring team in Canada West, the upstart University of Calgary Dinos.

The unranked Dinos took a share of first place in the Prairie Division this weekend with a  big two-game sweep of the Manitoba Bisons on the road in Winnipeg.

In Friday’s opener, Hill scored 23 points which included 4-for-4 shooting from beyond the arc as the Dinos scored a 79-77 victory. Saturday night, the Dinos won 89-81 thanks in part to 22 points from Hill, who leads Canada West in both scoring (22 pts/game) and three-point baskets made (15).

The Dinos return home to host Pacific Division rivals Fraser Valley and Thompson Rivers this weekend in the Jack Simpson Gym.
