Had it happened in a Canadian Football League game, a lucky fan would have walked away with a million dollars.

Third-year receiver Anthony Parker had a solid game on offence in Saturday’s 45-13 Canada West semi-final win over Alberta at McMahon Stadium, but it was his two kickoff returns for touchdowns that set him apart. Parker took the opening kickoff from Hugh O’Neill on his own 2-yard line, found a seam, and returned it 108 yards to the house – a school record for longest kickoff return – to put the No. 2 Dinos up 7-0 just 16 seconds into the contest.

With a return TD to open the game, Parker bookended his afternoon with another one in the final minute of the fourth quarter. After Alberta scored a late touchdown, Parker took O’Neill’s onside kick attempt – the only other Alberta kickoff of the day – 58 yards down the sideline to finish with 166 return yards on two attempts and a total of 271 all-purpose yards.

Parker and the Dinos look to defend their Canada West title Saturday when they meet the Saskatchewan Huskies in the 73rd Hardy Cup at Griffiths Stadium in Saskatoon.
