Second year right side Lindsey Doland steps in this year to replace last season's conference player of the year, the graduated Holly Harper, and has performed admirably so far.
In Thursday's opener at the Husky Dino Cup Doland put up 12 kills, easily leading the team. She bumped that total up to 16 Friday night against Brandon, then proceeded to post eight blocks in Saturday's series closer against the Bobcats.
"I'm really impressed with Lindsey's consistency in both scoring and blocking," said head coach Jesse Knight. "That's going to be a key for us this year."
The Dinos open the regular season Friday night in Edmonton against their archrivals, the Alberta Pandas.
