Third-year slotback Anthony Parker continued to add to his nation-leading receiving totals in Calgary’s 35-24 come-from-behind victory over the Manitoba Bisons Saturday.
Parker was ‘Mr. Everything’ for the Dinos, who clinched a playoff spot as they head into their bye week. He scored Calgary’s first touchdown of the game on a 32-yard reverse rushing play, then added a major through the air from 35 yards midway through the second quarter.
Late in the third quarter with Manitoba having taken a 24-23 lead, Parker returned the ensuing kickoff 43 yards to give the Dinos good field position. He caught two passes on the ensuing drive, including a 38-yard long bomb, setting up what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown.
Parker finished with five catches for 128 yards and a touchdown, two carries for 41 yards and a touchdown, and a total of 234 all-purpose yards for Calgary.
The third year graduate of Foothills Composite High School leads teammate Nathan Coehoorn by 106 yards in the receiving race in Canada West, averaging 16.6 yards per completion and 108 per game.
