After a tough loss to Regina to end the pre-Christmas portion of their schedule, the seventh-ranked Calgary Dinos needed a big weekend to get back on track in 2009 – and fifth year right side Holly Harper led the way as the Dinos swept the No. 3 UBC Thunderbirds in back-to-back contests.

The Lumsden, Sask. native led the Dinos in kills on both days, posting 17 in a 3-2 Saturday afternoon win and following that up with a 21-kill effort in Sunday’s 3-1 Calgary victory. She was virtually unstoppable in Sunday’s contest, earning her 21 kills on just 32 attempts with only three errors – an attack efficiency of better than 55 per cent.

The weekend vaulted the Social Sciences student all the way to second place in the Canada West kill standings and, more importantly, set the Dinos up well down the stretch to finish with home-court advantage in the first round of the Canada West playoffs.

Harper and the Dinos travel to Winnipeg to face the Wesmen (1-11) this weekend.
