Fourth-year Tamara Jarrett was a major factor in Calgary’s win over the No. 3 Regina Cougars on Saturday night. The Dinos guard posted 22 points in the win despite playing almost 18 minutes of the game in foul trouble. Her game-high 22 points helped the Dinos hand Regina just their third loss of the season, and also helped the Dinos remain in first place in the Prairie Division.
The previous evening, Jarrett scored another 15 points for the Dinos. They went on to lose to the Cougars that night, but would get revenge the following day. She added six rebounds on Friday, and during the game went off with an injury, but returned later in hopes of helping the Dinos to a comeback win.
The split this weekend gives Calgary a 15-3 record, tied with Regina. With the tiebreaker, the Dinos still sit in first place with four games to go. They had to Brandon, Manitoba to take on the Bobcats on Friday and Saturday night.
