J.P. Crescenzi shone in the Calgary Dinos’ final home weekend of the regular season, backstopping the Dinos to a 1-0-1 record against the second- and third-ranked teams in the nation.

In Saturday’s weekend opener against UBC, Crescenzi made three saves as the Dinos put forward an impressive defensive effort against the defending national champs in a 0-0 draw. And in Sunday’s contest against Victoria, the third-year ‘keeper was called upon to make seven stops as Calgary stunned the Victoria Vikes for the third straight season in Calgary with a 1-0 win. After a 14-year losing skid against Victoria at home, the Dinos have now defeated the Vikes in their last three meetings at the West Varsity Pitch.

Crescenzi, a Humanities student, will lead the Dinos (2-7-3) into their final matches of the season this weekend as they look to play the role of spoiler against Saskatchewan (4-6-2) and Alberta (4-3-5) on the road.
