Mike Edem’s debut at will linebacker was an impressive one in Saturday’s 37-21 Calgary Dinos win over the Regina Rams at McMahon Stadium.

Edem, who started at halfback for most of the 2011 season, moves closer to the line of scrimmage in Calgary’s defensive scheme this year. Against the Rams and Marc Mueller’s potent passing offence, Edem picked up 12 solo tackles and a helper along with a sack in the win. Thanks in part to his efforts, the Dinos held the Rams to just 353 yards of total offence on the night.

Edem and the Dinos now get set to host provincial rival Alberta on Friday night at KICKOFF 2012, the University of Calgary's annual homecoming game. Kickoff goes at 5:30 p.m. at McMahon Stadium.
