Competing in his final Canada West championship, University of Calgary sprinter Sam Effah did what he does best: win.

Effah set a new Canada West record in the 60 metres, stopping the clock in 6.59 seconds to win the conference title yet again. For his efforts, he earned the Canada West outstanding performance award as well as the male track athlete of the year honour.

Effah and the Dinos now turn their attention to the CIS championships in Sherbrooke, Que. March 11-13.
