Paul Carson returns to the Dinos coaching staff in 2016. No stranger to the program Paul spent five seasons as a player in the mid 1980’s winning a pair of Vanier Cups as a player in 1985 and 1988. He was a second team All-Canadian in 1988 along the offensive line at guard.
Paul joined the coaching staff after his playing career serving as offensive line coach for several seasons including being the offensive line coach in 1995 when the Dinos were National Champions.
After moving to the Okanagan region Paul became involved with the Okanagan Sun football program serving as an assistant coach and President of their organization.
In 2012 Carson received the Connellan Award for his outstanding contribution to the program over a period time by the Dinos 5th Quarter Alumni. While living in Okanagan Paul managed was often a training camp coach with the Dinos at both spring and football camps. Paul also remains extensively involved with the administration of the Dinos 5th Quarter Alumni association serving on their Board.
Paul’s son, Matt, is a member of the Dinos football team playing along the defensive line.
Paul is employed in the financial industry with TD Wealth Management.
