For many incoming students at the University of Calgary, KICKOFF is their introduction to Dinos Athletics. Since 2006, over 95,000 fans have filed into McMahon Stadium to celebrate the start of a new school year and set the tone for the Dinos' season.

This is your chance to celebrate UCalgary-style with great food, music, games, and giveaways — all before cheering on the Dinos football team.
Step into our tailgate zone and enjoy:
- A barbecue fired up by the Calgary Flames — the first 1000 students to roll in will get a free hot dog with proof of a Dinos ALL-ACCESS pass!
- Live DJ vibes — A DJ will be spinning tracks to keep the energy high pregame.
- Free Kickoff T-shirts — rep your Dinos pride with this year’s exclusive shirt, handed out inside the stadium gates.
- Fun with our partners — connect with community and campus partners like Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation, Calgary Wild FC, Calgary Surge, Residence Services, and the Alumni Association.
