2010: Took over as the starter in Week 2 after two-time national MVP Erik Glavic went down with a knee injury … won his first four games as a CIS starter, finishing the season with a 4-1 record … had a great debut game against Regina on Sept. 10, completing 13 of 20 passes for 258 yards and two TDs, earning Canada West offensive player-of-the-week honours ... put up back-to-back 100-yard rushing games at Alberta and Manitoba, both come-from-behind Calgary wins … finished the season 55-103 for 894 yards and six touchdowns, returning to backup duties late in the year upon Glavic’s return to the lineup added 446 rushing yards during the season, good enough for seventh in the Canada West rushing race … completed one pass for 16 yards in the Vanier Cup, adding three carries for 15 yards on the ground … unanimously named the Canada West rookie of the year … added the Peter Gorman Trophy as CIS rookie of the year to his collection, becoming the second straight Calgary player to win the award after Linden Gaydosh in
