CALGARY – The University of Calgary Dinos (1-2) return to McMahon Stadium on Friday to close out the season's opening month, hosting their provincial rival, the Alberta Golden Bears (0-3), at the Western Showdown.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. MT. Fans are encouraged to wear their best western attire, and UCalgary alumna Seraphina will perform at halftime. Tickets are available at GoDinos.com.

- Calgary opened the season with a 32-7 win over the UBC Thunderbirds before road losses to the Saskatchewan Huskies (44-24) and the Manitoba Bisons (38-36 2OT).
- Alberta enters winless in three Canada West games after a 65-12 loss to Saskatchewan last Friday.
- The Dinos have won the last three regular season meetings and seven of the last 10 overall.
- The teams last met in the Oct. 25 regular season finale at McMahon Stadium, a 34-29 Calgary win. Friday's game is the first of two meetings this season, with the return matchup Saturday, Oct. 31, at Foote Field in Edmonton.

- Defensive back De'Von Young's 49-yard interception return late in the fourth quarter at Manitoba set up Jet Zakrzewski's one-yard touchdown run, which tied the game 27-27 with 2:26 remaining.
