SPOKANE, Wash. - The Dinos Cross Country teams held their own against some tough competition this weekend in Spokane at the Northwest Inland Classic.
The women's team finished fourth in the team battle, with
Grace Kary capturing the bronze medal to lead the squad in at time of 17:18 for 5k. She was followed by
Faye Stenning,
Bridget Pyke, Katie Anker, and
Maria Fox.
The men followed up with a fifth place finish as a team. They were lead by
Curtis Merry, who despite a fall and loss of shoe, managed to cover the 8k course in a time of 24:59. Brad Bickley,
Gareth Hadfield,
Sam Dorosz, and
Thomas Pernel worked together to fill out the scoring positions for the team.
Up next for the team is the Stewart Cup on Oct. 29, which serves as not only a provincial championship but also as team selection for the CIS championships in Quebec City in November.
