Richard Bohne (BA '98) is one of the all-time greats in the University of Calgary men's basketball history. Scoring 2,171 points over his four-year career with the University of Calgary, Bohne is the program's all-time leading scorer. Averaging 27.5 points per game over 79 career regular season contests, he was the Canada West Player of the Year in the 1994-95 and 1995-96 seasons. The three-time All-Canadian, Bohne made the first team twice and won the Mike Moser Memorial Trophy as the top player in CIS in 1996. Bohne holds both the home and away records for points in a game with 64 at UBC and 54 at home and sits second on the all-time Canada West scoring list, despite playing just four seasons. Away from the Dinos, Bohne competed as a member of Team Canada at the 1995 Universiade, winning a bronze medal, and went on to play professional basketball in the French Pro B league in 1997.
