Kevin Boyles’ (BKin '88, MKin '98) story spans more than his five-year eligibility career. He performed, worked and conquered at every level possible for the university. He is the only person in Dinos history that can say he won a national championship as a player, a head coach and an athletic director.
His three years as athletic director followed a hugely successful nine-year run as head coach of the Dinos women’s program, which included the 2004 national championship – but his initial contributions to the Dinos came as a student-athlete from 1985-89 and 1993-94.
He was undersized at the position he played and wasn’t the highest leaper in the gym. But, what he lacked in physical tools, he more than made up for in his wits.
The 1994 Canada West player of the year, Boyles was a member of the 1988-89 national championship team also being inducted this year, joining teammates Randy Gingera and Kelly Grosky in the Hall.
He is also an Olympian, representing Canada in Barcelona in 1992.
