Kelly Grosky (BA '92) was the setter on one of the greatest teams in CIS men's volleyball history. Grosky starred with the Dinos men's volleyball team in the late 1980s and early 1990s as a multiple-time Canada West All-Star and earned both first time All-Canadian status and the Dinos' male athlete of the year award in 1992. His crowning achievement came in 1989 when he led Calgary to a perfect season, en route to the national championship game on their home court in the Jack Simpson Gymnasium. The Dinos captured the second CIS men's volleyball title in school history that year, and Grosky was named the tournament MVP. He went on to play professionally in Europe and was a member of the Canadian national team from 1989-91. Grosky passed away in November 2014.
