CALGARY – The University of Calgary Dinos announced Friday the launch of their 2010 football season ticket campaign as the team gears up for another run at the Vanier Cup.

The two-time defending Canada West champions open the season at home against the Saskatchewan Huskies on Saturday, Sept. 4, while Regina, UBC, and Alberta round out the Dinos' home schedule in 2010.

The Dinos also announced their 2010 radio broadcast schedule Friday, with AM 770 CHQR, Calgary's football station, set to take up the reins as the Voice of the Dinos.

Dave Rowe returns for his fifth season as the Dinos' play-by-play voice and will team with Tony Spoletini to cover four of the Dinos' eight regular season games along with all post-season contests.

“QR77 radio covers a lot of different ground day in, day out,” said program director John Vos. “From news to our talk shows to sports and of course opinions. Part of that sports recipe is football. We've been the radio voice of the Calgary Stampeders for 19 years and now we've brought into the fold Dinos football – it's a perfect fit! I'm thrilled to broadcast a number of Dinos games this season on the radio and on our website at www.am770chqr.com.”

CHQR will broadcast both Saskatchewan and both Alberta games this season. CLICK HERE to see the full 2010 football schedule.

The Dinos, who came up just short of the Vanier Cup championship in 2009, return the vast majority of their players led by the 2010 BLG Award winner, quarterback Erik Glavic. Training camp opens on the University of Calgary campus on Saturday, Aug. 21.
