CALGARY – The University of Calgary Dinos announced Friday that the football program's full-time assistant coach, John Stevens, will not return for the 2010 season.
Stevens joined the Dinos in April 2003 after spending 10 seasons as head coach at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, N.S., where he was the 1997 CIS Football Coach of the Year.
Stevens has served as defensive coordinator for the past several seasons and was part of the coaching staff that led the Dinos to back-to-back Canada West championships and a Vanier Cup appearance in 2009.
The Dinos would like to thank John for his seven years of dedication to the football program and wish him success in his future endeavours.
